Zambia Linda Community

Linda Community, Zambia – 2017. I did a two week Habitat for Humanity Global Village Build in Zambia in July 2017. The build was in Linda Community which in on the outskirts of Lusaka. The community has a population somewhere between 25 and 35 thousand, unemployment is high and many families lack basic services such as healthcare, education, water and sanitation. Poverty and HIV have produced many young orphans who are cared for by elderly grandparents. There are many local businesses, shops, stalls and churches and the community covers a very large area giving it a bit of a rural feel.
